About Ricardo
Ricardo González is the Expert Teacher here at SpeakSpanish.com and is the Executive Director of Bilingual America, a nationally respected Spanish language training institute founded in 1992. Bilingual America provides the courses and learning tools here at SpeakSpanish.com. Ricardo is a renowned author and teacher of language and cultural management communications.
He is also the Executive Director The Claro Initiative, a national initiative that provides the industry-leading SpanishPower™ Basic to Expert Level course at no charge to professional adults who desire to make a positive impact on Latinos in the United States.
Former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich, who, along with several of his senior staff members, have taken Spanish with us, goes so far as to call him a language training genius!

Ricardo is the author of the groundbreaking book,The 12 Hidden Truths to Learning Spanish. He is the also the course developer and teacher of the Basic to Expert SpanishPower™ course, the writer and teacher of Líderes Exitosos™, a television-quality leadership training course in Spanish for Hispanics, Success with Hispanics™, a training course on how to maximize business relations with Latinos as well as several other courses and programs. In October of 2011, his newest book, "Café con Milk - How to Brew Wildly Successful Business Relations with Latinos" will be released to the general public.
He has a degree in theology and communications as well as Masters Level training in counseling. He has made it his practice to read at least one book weekly for the past 20 years. He frequently consults for large corporations, is a popular seminar speaker as well as author of numerous articles on the subject of Spanish language acquisition and cultural communications in organizations and businesses.
You can watch one of his speeches below. Ricardo comes from a bilingual, bi-cultural family. His father is from Puerto Rico and is one of 27 children. (Not a typo!) His mother was from the hills of Kentucky. He jokingly calls himself a Puerto Rican Hillbilly. He has lived extensively both in the United States and Puerto Rico as well as has participated extensively in other Latin America cultures. Ricardo is blessed with a beautiful wife, Maribel (also from Puerto Rico) and has three wonderful children Gabriel, Andrea and Marí Andrea.
